  1. The biggest risk, especially if you are young, is calcium deficiency that can make you more susceptible to osteoporosis in your later years.

There are other sources of calcium, but none as efficient and absorbable as dairy products.

  2. probably, yes! animal products, like dairy, are very high in bad fats, so cutting them from your diet is a good idea on all accounts. They are also the only things in nature that have cholesterol which is a plus if you give them up. Many dairy substitutes (yogurt, soy milk) are high in good fats            (mono + polyunsaturated), contain good levels of protein, and have fewer calories.

go for it! there are also many other great points to lacto vegetarian diet, like not supporting dairy farms. You may want to give up eggs as well (at least the yolk) which are high in fat.

    good luck!!

  3. you will lose a lot of weight going vegan. the right way. i know from experience.

  4. You're not a vegetarian, you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian since you consume dairy.

It may have a very small affect, but nothing dramatic.

  5. You lose weight by cutting calories.  If you do not replace dairy's lost calories with something else, then you will lose weight.  But if you eat something else instead, you will not lose weight.

  6. The best way to lose weight is to become Vegan and eat Whole foods only two meals a day (morning and early afternoon) and a good exercise program. In answer to your question, yes you should lose some, however if you don't do the above you will put it back in the long term.

  7. You won't lose much if any weight unless you're one of those people that eats alot of chocolate, drinks alot of milk, eats alot of cheese ect everyday, then you will haha.
