Will i lose weight if i drink one cup of black iced coffee a day?

I have been doing it for about a week now and after a cup i feel very full and it keeps me from snacking on junk foods, which i think is good, it also makes me go to the bathroom #2 about 30 minutes after i drink it. is it going to make some positive effect on me? im also not fat im a girl im 15 im 5'3 nd i weigh 114 pounds.

  1. your weight is healthy for your height.  if you only drink one cup and it keeps you from eating junk, then keep doing it.  I don't think you will lose weight from drinking it, but you might from not eating junk foods.


  2. whatever works for you. If it helps you prevent eating on junk or fast food, good for you.

    the bad thing about coffee is the caffeine content, but I think one cup a day is ok for you.

  3. There is nothing special about black iced coffee that will help with a weight loss program. If it is iced then it will sit in your stomach until it is warm enough for your body to use. In that even you might as well use water because it will have the same result of making you feel full. It is a natural appitite suppressan. Coffee isn't. Water will also increase motabolism and energy levels by 3% which are important when loosing weight.

    Plus coffee has caffine, at least 85 mg per serving. Caffeine takes more water to process than a caffeinated beverage contains so it actually dehydrates. This is why it makes you go. The water used to process the caffein is immediately discreated.

    If you want something to help with weight loss then switch to green tea. Have a glass of water and a glass of tea at the same time. Green tea only has 35 mg of caffein. Green tea helps to supress the appitite naturally in addition the basic water. It also increases motabolism like water does. It also has a bunch of antioxidents which is real good for your system.

  6. The coffee in itself will not have much of an effect on your weight. But if it keeps you from snacking on unhealthy foods, like junk food, then that is what may help you not gain much weight. Staying away from junk food is always a good idea, whether you are overweight or not (you're not).

    Coffee does have a laxative effect, but that will not affect your weight.
