I have recently started taking my son swimming, he doesn't really swim he kind of just jumps around and i walk a little bit, but not a whole lot. I want to lose weight, but i work full time and he is going through separation anxiety as it is. I do not want to take him from daycare only to put him back into daycare at the gym. So will i lose weight just by going into the pool with him? I want to lose 30 lbs. (i know i have to diet too)

  2. I have a three year old and have  been taking her to the pool about 3 times a week and i have lost about 15 lbs while i am at the pool i try to work out my legs and arms i keep moving in the water most of the time best of luck with losing the weight i have just started weight watchers have not weighed in yet but seems to be going well give that a try

  3. run through the pool that'll burn calories!

  4. Any extra exercise is good. I need to loose about 30 pounds myself but the time right now is just tight with a busy life that I am too wore out for much more. If you don't loose weight, just think of the wonderful time you'll have with your son!

  5. I do mommy and me swimming with my daughter (also two) and only lost weight when I included diet and walking in the morning.  I don't think the swimming did anything.  Because she needs constant supervision, I don't really get any exercise or "swimming" for myself.

  6. Hey its, a work out.. It may not be laps or anything. But it does help. And, it may take a little longer to take the weight off but it should help.
