  1. Although it is used for post-op pain sometimes, Oxycontin is not indicated for that use.  It's designed for people with long term pain, like cancer patients.

    Ask your plastic surgeon what s/he usually prescribes.  The guy I work with usually goes with Darvocet, I think.


  2. Doubtful. Oxycontin is usually reserved for patients with pain that can't be adequately controlled by regular oxycodone.
