Will i need a car amplifier?

I am getting 6.5 inch 300 watt subs in my car. Is this enough power that i will need an amplifier or can i do without it?

  1. mitsubishi make built in amps in there cars i think produce 200 max, this is if u have one wich would barley be enough. i would recommend a good  make amp, of plus 50 ~100 watts extra "m\x not rms" of i duno 2 subs each 300, X 2 about 800 watt amp. but ud need tweet and mid with such bass and a car stereo because they burn out f there not equipt for 45\50 watt rms , so i would advise going pro dude.. askus about wirring next time ;)


  2. 300 watts max or RMS? Either way, I recommend an amp. That is if you like your music loud and clear.  

  3. Is that a joke?  The only way I could see you not needing an amp is if you have a vehicle with a 6.5" bose sub with a prewired amp and you're looking to replace the sub.  Otherwise, you always need a LPF signal/amp to run those subs otherwise they will sound like $hit!

  4. 6.5 subs? are you joking? They must be mids, in which case running as subs will most likely blow them up!
