  1. It won't work--because most built in flash is not strong enough to reach the stage. And basically--they will escort you out if you're caught at this sort of concert.

You need a dSLR with a "fast" lens, something like this

but I can't imagine that they will let someone in with a camera this large.

  2. Probably not.  Camera phones usually have wide angle lenses, which means you need to be right up close to your subject to get a decent picture.  For a concert you would need a telephoto lens, unless you're planning on being right up there on the stage with them.

By the way, you might want to make sure the concert allows cameras of any kind.  Many don't.

  3. You will be totally wasting your time trying to take pictures at a concert with a phone camera.

Go to the concert, sit back and relax and enjoy the show and buy the souvenir program and/or DVD.

  4. jonas brother stink!!!

  5. First, know that a flash might get you thrown out.

Second, a flash isn't going to reach.

A phone flash will reach like what 6 feet?

    A flash on a dSLR like 20+

You'll need a big, heavy professional flash if you are far away, and nobody is going to let you in with it.

You are going to have to get at least a pocket digital camera (you can sneak that in) kick up the ISO to 400 up to1000 to get pics without a flash that aren't blurry. Cams that can go beyond 1000 will get super nosie and grain in the pics. They can get pretty dirty by 800.

Take pics at ISO 400, check the screen see what you got, if they look ok leave it there. Blurry, go higher.

I don't think a phone is going to cut it at a dark concert. Daytime might look ok, but come on, all phone cams take crappy pics. Sorry, just being honest.

    Good luck.

  6. First of all, you'd better find out whether cameras are allowed.  If they aren't, don't try to sneak one in, because if they see you using it, you could get kicked out.  Or they could just take your camera away when you go in.

So let's say they do allow cameras.  Unless you are in the first couple of rows, you are not going to get any decent pictures.  Most places don't allow flash, and that is good only for a few feet anyway.  Camera phones take bad pictures in a dark setting.  So why not leave your camera home where it's safe, and buy a program.  Sit back and enjoy the show.
