Will i need a undercoat if im paint my back wall brown <3

i want to paint my back wall borwn do i need a white undercoat ??

Are you saying a black wall.... if you are changing a wall from black to brown or from white to brown the best thing to do in order to decrease the number of coats is to buy a primer and have it tinted to a shade very close to the one you are using as your final coat.  This gives you a truer color, makes your paint go further and extends the life of the paint as well as making it more durable.  Generally you can paint any color directly over another but some bleeding can occur and you may have to do up to 4 coats with some colors.  White isn&#039;t necessary, but a primer is very good if you are covering black, red or any dark color.
