Will i still get unemplyment benefits if i was on disability during pregnancy this year?

i got disability pay this year during pregnancy & now i'm being laid off, can i still get unemployment benefits?

Unemployment benefits are calculated on reported wages for you from the employer. They go back 3 quarters of work and use the wages paid to you during that quarter to determine the amount you are eligible to receive. If you did not work during that quarter or for the quarter prior to that then you would not have any reported wages and there would be no money in your account to pay you benefits. It's not based on your lifetime earnings just a specific period of time. You would need to call up U.I. and give them specific dates you actually worked and they can determine if you have will be able to collect or not.

maybe - but only if you are physically able to work and willing to work - if you are still pregnant or have given birth, but have not been approved by doctor to go back to work yet, you wouldn;t qualify for unemployment- if you are back to work and now getting laid off - you probably would qualify - apply and find out
