Will i still receive fincanial aid if i was acedemically dropped for school??

i was dropped 2 semesters ago and am now coming back to school, i heard that once my gpa drops below a 2.0 that i will not receive grants until i bring my grade up, is this true? i a still waiting to reveive my award letter but they said my EFC woukd be 0

  1. Well, if you can't even maintain a 2.0, perhaps you should consider becoming a trash man, or flipping burgers for a living?


  2. Your financial aid will be cut off.  Talk to an academic advisor to see what you must do next.  (college professor)

  3. Well an EFC of 0 is a good thing.

    Secondly you might want to give your desired school a call, one of the academic advisors and/or counselors may be able to help you more with that question. But yes you will need to have a 2.0 GPA to get the pell grant continously through your college years.

    You might just want to check with them first to make sure you are not on some type of suspension.

    Some forms of financial aid are dependent on your GPA to release funds, but not all. I was put on "academic progress" one semester at community college, and one quarter at my university, but I was not dropped. I did earn their faith in me.
