  1. If you are going to be living rent free then you may just survive on  ÃƒÂ‚£700 per month , if you have rent to pay then forget it .England and especially London is very expensive nowadays. £700 is not a great deal olf money and you will have to keep a close eye on your spending but good luck and i hope you enjoy yourself over here.

  2. Survive? yes. Live? no.

  3. If you don't have to pay for housing (which could run as high as 700 pounds a month) then you should make it. But maybe you should look into a second job.

  4. I am also planning to study in London. How much would be the rate per hour for a part time job in London.

BTW, St. Patrick's College London is located in

    24 Great Chapel Street

    London W1F 8FS, England

  5. It all depends upon if you have your accommodation already paid for.  If you do, then you will survive fine, although you won't be able to live any sort of extravagant lifestyle.

If you don't have your accommodation sorted then, to be blunt, I wouldn't even bother coming over here.  I pay £700 a month alone in rent!  If you're prepared to share a flat and live in 'less desirable' area then you might be able to get the rent down to £500 a month (due to the lack of people buying property rents have really shot up here in the past few months) but then you'll still have the added costs on top of that of things like council tax, bills, transport costs, food, going out, etc.  Obviously the exact cost of these sorts of things varies, but they're certainly going to exceed the £200 maximum you'd have left after rent.

Also, I'd like to second what Arcadia says - I've lived in London my entire life and I too have never heard of St. Patrick's.....

  6. I presume you aren't paying for housing? Then £700 a month is probably JUST enough if you live a very frugal lifestyle and dont go out. But you may well find it a struggle.

You can always find part-time bar work in pubs or waitressing in restaurants, who are ususally willing to take on students

BTW...St.Patricks?? Never heard of it..where in London is that?
