Question:

Will iPod be erased?

I have a previous-generation iPod nano. I have a desktop where my music collection is and it is mirrored on my iPod (like it's supposed to be - it's all synced up). I have a laptop that I just bought that I want to use while I'm traveling. If I buy a few songs on iTunes on the laptop, and then connect my iPod to put them on, will my iPod be erased and those few songs from my laptop be put on instead? Also, if my iPod doesn't erase, when I connect it back to my desktop, will my new purchases be transferred over to my desktop? Thanks!

  1. You should put the music you bought in your collection, play it on iTunes and then the songs will appear on the iTunes player. Then you can just sync it like usual. If you save the music in another folder and sync it alone it will erase whats in the iPod and replace it with what you sync. It is always best to sync everything all together so nothing gets deleted.

  2. I WOULD HOOK UP UR IPOD BEFORE BUYING SONGS

TRY TO TRANSFER THE SONGS TO UR LAP AND CHECK MARK THE 1'S U WANNA KEEP

THEN BUY THE SONGS U WANT,CHECK MARK THEM THEN YOUR GOOD TO GO

IF STILL UNSURE GO TO APPLE.COM FOR MORE HELP

  3. if you have your ipod on manually synch then you'll be ok, but if it's on auto all your songs will be erased.

  4. it's more like "Freeze motherf*cker, or I'll blow a hole through you big enough to park in!"

  5. it might erase but to be save google this : medianet ipod to computer. its a thing where you plug your ipod in and open media net after you download it (its free and safe) all you music will come there. then just drag your music from medianet to itunes and problem solved! :-) but if you bought every single song on your ipod right now you can connect it and they will come back on the ipod. but if you use cds or other means then medianet is the only way i know of...good luck i had the same problem a couple of onths ago and now my ipod and computer work great.

  6. I had the same problem just after christmas, when I hooked my iPod  to  my laptop the iPod  was completely erased and the songs on it were replaced by the songs on the laptop. I hope I helped.
