Question:

Will installing an aftermarket head unit improve the stock speakers?

Hey, everyone!

I am getting an aftermarket head unit installed tomorrow and was wondering if this will significantly improve the sound from the stock speakers? Will it help at all?

Also, is $95.00 an OK price to get the head unit professionally installed with the wire harness, in-dash thingy and antenna?

THANKS A LOT!

  1. Stock speakers with an after-market deck still sound like stock speakers.  In addition, Saturn commonly uses 10-ohm speakers, so you won't get the best power output from the new head unit unless you replace them.

$95 is a fair price for installation with all the adapter parts, but your vehicle is one of the easiest for new radio installation.  If you have the tools and the time, you can save some money doing it yourself.

  2. Without the MAKE, MODEL and YEAR etc .
