Will insurance help me?

Question

ok, i got hit today....

i was sitting at a stop sign....

guys swurves to avoid girl, and hits me....

girl gets citied....

i have plpd with state farm in florida.....

estimated damage is $2000 and kelly bluebook is roughly $2000...

can anyone tell me what will possibly happen for me?

State Farm will probably total your car, but they will deduct the amount of whatever deductible you have (usually $250, $500 or even $1,000).  They may "waive" the deductible if they find that whoever is responsible (the girl or the other driver) was uninsured.

If all you have is plpd, your insurance company will do nothing for you, because they aren't insuring your car at all.  All plpd covers is damage you may cause to others.  You will have to deal with the insurance company for the other driver.  They will likely total your car with that damage

Since the car is only worth about $2000 and that is the same amount of damage, they will probably total out the vehicle. But, you would need a police report and file a claim with your insurance company.
