Question:

Will it affect my application? ?

I am currently an undergraduate student at a highly-ranked university.

After getting my degree I plan to work for a few years and then get an MBA.

I am hoping to apply to Harvard, Stanford, Penn, UChicago, MIT and the like for my MBA.

But, as of right now, I am also considering a transfer to MIT, Stanford, Penn. Assuming that my transfer application is rejected to these schools, will this in any way affect my MBA application?

    thanks

  2. No, it will have no bearing on your MBA application. The admission office that handles undergraduate applications is separate from the MBA one, and even if they were combined, it would be highly doubtful that they'd let a rejection from the past affect a current application. I'm not sure about the other schools, but I know that Stanford only accepts a tiny number of transfer students, so an awesome candidate for the MBA could have easily been turned down because the rate of acceptance into the b-school is so much higher.

Also, it would be too time-consuming for them to review past applications.

    Best of luck! : )
