Will it affect the coffee taste if I use half of the old grounds?

I'll just take out half of the old coffee grounds and put new grounds in for the other half? I usually put the old grounds with my flowers, I hate to waste anything.

It might make the coffee more bitter - coffee only has so much flavour in it and when it's all come out of the grounds then it starts extracting a bitter flavour.

my brother does it b/c he's cheap............I like my coffee fresh and strong everytime!

It will make a weaker coffee, and it will save you money.
