They can try both and fail miserably like they usually do.

Any sign of them not wanting to be bipartisan during a national disaster is just going to hurt them and taking shots at Palin has already been backfiring on them amongst the general public.

It will hopefully be a time of scoring no political points and making sure no-one dies. Who cares what a bunch of self satisfied politicians think at this time? Or their snivelling supporters.
