Will it be ok to put a plasma or lcd t.v outside on the patio in a waterproof cabinet?

  1. I agree with the guy above - I know some people who thought it was  "cool" to put a 50 inch plasma outside underneath their gazeebo.

    yeah, that didn't work out they wanted to.

    Not only did the plasma get water in it eventually, but between the heat, dust, and then winter cold, the TV lasted just over a year.

    Right past the 1 year warranty.

    Wasn't that cool.


  2. i would not do it. even it is waterproof condensation will occur and the insides of these things are very sensitive. better to cut out a section of a wall and roll the tv to it from the inside when needed.a nice door can be made to cover up the hole and keep your tv inside. on the other hand most tv's dont have the brightnes level to make for a viewable picture outside(some are available though
