My cousin's ex-girlfriend gave me an option for me to live with her in Canada. I've recently been having problems at home with my brothers forceful aggression and i'm fining it hard to cope with it all... My dad is just as threatening and is also just as violent. Lucky for me, my mum is saint however she will not take much action against him - the police are involved in this.

I have recently received my GCSE results and I passed with almost all of the subjects, however, I was planning on taking Biology for A-levels as I generally have an interest for it. I gained a C and I needed a B, I really did try but timings let me down once again. Me and a family friend of mine tried to push for it but speaking to the deputy head personally however he wouldn't negotiate. My school doesn't really offer the subjects that I would like to do... Canada has many opportunities for me in having an education that i'm passionate about.

Will it be possible for me to live in Canada and to be sponsored?

  1. You can apply for a study permit, even if you are a minor. http://www.canada.org.uk/visa-info/forms...

will help you.  The ex-gf will need to provide proof of funds to support you; usually a bank statement.

The only other option is to live there on a visitor's visa (no study or work) and just go visit the US to prove you've left the country, and come back in on a new visa, or a proper study visa, if you can afford the tuition.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/pub/cus... is the form your parents and the ex-gf will need to sign, to prove to the immigration officers you have somebody to look after you in Canada, and that this person has your parent's permission to do that.  The top form is for the custodian, your cousin's ex-gf.  She'll need to get the form notarized (signed in the presence of a notary or lawyer) as well.  The bottom form is for your parents.  It needs to be notarized as well.

  2. you are to young to immigrate on your own, and a sponsor has to be family, like mother brother that are a permanent resident of canada

  3. Check with the Canadian Embassy in London. I think you may be a little young for it but Canada sometimes let something like this through if th epeople you will be living in Canada agree to sponsor you.

  4. Given your age, very un-likely and even if you find a sponsor that does not necessarily guarantee anything .Unless you become a landed immigrant, none of public services including health care would be available to you.

  5. I'm sorry you are having problems at home, but a cousin's ex-girlfriend is not going to cut it as a sponsor for you.  A sponsor has to be a relative and show funds sufficient to support you.

www.cic.gc.ca is the Canadian immigration website.  Possibly you could get a student visa for university.
