Will it be possible to use a more powerful battery as a replacement ?

for the expired one in an elecric soup spoon ( 6v. replacing with 9v.) will it now be half as fast again as the original ?

It will be faster for a time, but the motor will probably burn out - and that could be uncomfortable.
