Will it be viable,A shop selling Mutual funds and Insurance only?

Question

I am planning a unique venture, to open a shop (sort of office like) not a big one, aimed at promoting mutual funds and insurance policies.Mutual funds of all companies can be sold and insurance agencies of may be one or two companies.

YOUR ADVICE IS SOLICITED

1) Is it viable

2) What are the steps to be taken to suceed

3) The dimensions of the shop'

1. yes, viable

2. Get AMFI qualified to sell mutual funds and IRDA qualified to do insurance business

3. Any size comfortable and feasible.

Selling Insurance and Mutual Funds is exactly what companies like Geojit, JRG, Bajaj Finance etc. do through their offices.

Success would depend upon the volume of business. You would need a lot of field marketing executives to bring in the volumes.

That is pretty much how every insurance office works... they sell insurance. They also sell investments via mutual funds, annuities, VUL etc.
