  1. why not they drove an electric dune buggy on the moon

  2. not an open cab, but maybe a Massey Ferguson cab air. :)

  3. If you can imagine it, it can be done. Maybe already has. Is not the Martian Rover a modified tractor? And the surface of Mars considered 'Space'?

  4. I am pretty sure that Spock was a farmer before he joined the enterprise crew. That why he was so dry and emotionless. He was pissed because after the potatoe famine on Vulcan he had to sell his John Deere EX 5400 super duty flux capacitor driven space tractor.

  5. If possible? may be  one thing for sure we will all be long gone

  6. Where there's a Will

    there's a tractor.

  7. With wheels?

If you mean empty space, you will need some surface to generate friction and move the tractor forward.

  8. get real and study newtons laws they will give you the answer. and the surface of mars is not considered space. and aeroponics is a play on words. hydroponics for water grown aeroponics for air grown.

  9. I guess we can always dream, i personally would love to drive a space tractor... my god imagine that!!

someone should write a kiddie book about a space tractor it would be amazing

  10. i seriously hope not.

can you imagine the tailback of lorries and caravans following those tractors carting potatoes at 15 miles an hour?

and another thing, what about the problems associated with all that mud on the interstellar road.

can you imagine what sort of a mess it would make of your vehicle,. hitting a patch of wet mud at 3000miles per hour

  11. Yes, they've already invented headlights for them.

Any half-way decent sci-fi show will make some reference to tractor beams...

  12. YES!!!!

YOU CAN DRIVE A WHEELESS TRACTOR IF U WANT TO.

  13. Tractors will not be necessary for farming in space.  Even soil will not be needed for farming in space. Farming will be done by aeroponics in a biosphere type environment.

  14. We all hope so .

the science & technology is growing so fast that it could not be impossible for long time. & I am also looking forward to drive the tractor in space. :)

  15. Maybe on another planet or on the moon of another planet, yes. But just floating around in space I would say no.

But how do you define tractor? To me "tractor" implies that there is some traction implied, and in virtually airless space it is impossible to get traction.

But if you mean some type of rocket or other pulling or pushing device, the yes.

  16. erading u're replies..there are positive answers...but have you considered gravity...you'll be more of "flying" a tractor...lol...i don't know...am just thinking...but maybe they can put some weights on it or sumthing....but i think that you can't drive one in space, you might be able to drive one on one of the close planets....but space is a vaccum place, so no gravity, no laod is going to work...but who knows...technology can make miracles....lol...

  17. No, you can't farm in space and you wouldn't be able to propel it through space.

  18. sure mines already up there

  19. Its possible
