I AN TRYING TO INSTALL NEW SPEAKERS IN MY CAR. THE SPEAKERS GO IN THE HEADREST. I PULLED THE OLD ONES OUT . IT IS A JAPANESE IMPORT SO THE SPEAKERS ARE DIFFERENT THAN ANY THING I CAN FIND. I BOUGHT 4 IN (100 MM) SPEAKERS BUT THEY WILL TOUCH A LARGE THICK UNREMOVEABLE METAL PLATE. WILL IT HARM THEM OR EFFECT THE SOUND QUALITY.

  1. yes and its damage a speaker not hurt LOL

  2. i dont know but a manet broke my ipod!

  3. yes, it can affect speaker parameters, but not so sure if it is the same like some sound quality degradation - maybe you will not able to hear it. you must try...

  4. i installed tons of speakers and the magnet in the speaker always pulls and gets attached to the car and so far none of them sound and different then what it sounded like at the store no weird static or anything

  5. It shouldnt affect the speaker at all....  If you are worried put an old speaker against the metal link it to your radio and try it...  dont worry the amount of electricity travelling to the speaker is so tiny....

  6. doubtful... what usually happens is that magnets ruin other electronics.
