Will it hurt my computer to use the original disc it came with in order to fix some problems?

I got that Windows xp anti-virus thing in my computer. so that's infected. In trying to delete that, I accidentally deleted my internet explorer, and can't get that back. I tried Mozilla Firefox and that wont work, and I even went to "restore settings" to another date and that didn't work. Other than taking it somewhere to be fixed, could I just use the original disc and start over again like new?

You could do that.

But you can only use that disk once.

You could also take it to the place to get it fixed.

hi before you use your recover disk  go to start>accessories>system tool> restore and back your pc to a earlier time and start again  good luck   miktill
