  1. I think he should - it'll be only fair.

  2. Phillistinetheartlover, please stop talking. Why do you have to be a right wing nut to believe that Obama made a poor choice? Not only did he make a poor choice, but he then retracted the original statement and put out one blaming the DoD. Are you liberals honestly that blind that you jump all over John McCain for "plyaing politics" but you fall down at the feet of Obama?

I say stop talking about race and let's look at Obama's voting record. I don't see Obama as a black man, I see him as a Liberal Democrat. What is so difficult to understand about that? Liberal Democrats already created a stigma that they don't care about America or the country and this snub by Obama doesn't help. That is the truth.

And stop calling people fascists. Goodness gracious that word is overplayed and annoying. Don't agree in what liberals have to say? You are either a fascist or a n**i. Get ahold of yourself man!!!

  3. the real obama is starting to show, he is a disgrace to this country. he disrespected our troops and the usa.

  4. Sure Will hurt him.

Troops in Germany are always on beer and getting drunk, having a good time.

he did want to associate with alcoholics.

  5. I don't think he knows what to do with, or about, the military. He's actually very poor when it comes to relating. The lack of experience makes him uncomfortable, and it shows. He avoids any real interaction with anything to do with it. The problem is, it is a weakness for him, which he should be working on to fix, not avoiding. I am not a big fan of either candidate, but this scares me about him. I can't rely on what his decisions would be as the big cheese in Washington. He likes to spout off his plans, but he has nothing to back up the steps for his decisions. Worries me.

  6. They ought to all stay home and sort out their own problems there. The country is in a economic crisis and this globe trotting is a total waste of cash.

  7. Hmmm, interesting.

I see how the rightwing nuts amongst us like to work: By all accounts Obama's overseas trip was succesful. So what is it his opponents do? Find an issue to make him look bad.

So all those fascist crazies with their radio and TV shows begin to make noise about the "issue".

In this case Obama's not visiting US troops in Germany.

And pound on it, scream, go hysterical and just like magic people will listen and begin to despair, "Oh, goodness, this guy on the radio (or TV) has a point, ya know. How could Obama not visit our troops?"

And this has been going on since Ronald Reagan came to power. Back then these fascists only had little offices in DC where they could write obscure magazines and create think-tanks to look professional.

But sooner than later, mainly thanks to people like William F. Buckley Jr. and Rush Limbaugh they realized that if you make enough noise about somebody or something, no matter how unjustifed, people will turn against the person or the issue at hand.

    And it works like clockwork.

What these fascists are in fact saying is "Don't think for yourselves, let us do that for you".

And many Americans, famous for the lack of knowledge of even their own history and geography, are more than happy to let these media personalities do so for them.

What Obama's success is saying about all this is that many Americans have finally decided to think for themselves and not let scaremongers get their way.

I just hope they have the fortitude to keep it up and actually make Obama our next president.

Edit: Oops! Sorry. I meant to say rightwing nuts and RACISTS!

    Thank you.

  8. nothing can stop Obama from being the next President

  9. It depends if the press bothers to report it since it doesn't fall in line with the pre-conceived story of the coronation trip of the new Savior.

I spoke with an acquaintance yesterday who is a veteran (and, ironically, an Obama look-a-like).  He was pretty livid and said that in military circles it is being portrayed as Obama wouldn't visit the injured troops without being allowed to take the press and a few of his handlers with him.  In other words, a private visit as a Senator was OK, but he could not turn it into a photo-op for his Presidential campaign.

My prediction is that the mainstream press will keep this buried at the bottom of the page until the right-wing radio guys get back on the air at 9am EDT on Monday.  Give them a day or two with this and everyone will start talking about it.

Edit for Adonis: The planned visit was to a military hospital that cares for troops injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.  At least have the decency to recognize that these men and women are genuine heroes.

  10. Not with the troops.

They already know who their friends are.

  11. no I'm sick of that story its stupid, and I don't like Obama
