Question:

Will it look bad to medical schools if i take off a semester or two of college? ?

I took so far organic and regular chemistry , biology and some electives. I have about a year to complete my Bachlor degree in biology.My Gpa is 3.92 I didnt take physics or the mcats yet.

Should i take off?

  1. No, if there is a valid reason why you did. Maybe you went abroad to work for the peace corps, or to teach in the inner city, or because you got a great internship. Those are all valid reasons to do that, but if you just need a break, they will be less sympathetic. If you are financially strapped and unable to get loans, they might accept this. There is usually a place in each supplementary application to explain any gaps in your undergraduate education. It will make the MCAT harder though, because nothing will be as familiar.


  2. I wouldn't take off a semester or a year.
