Will it make a difference if I get my Juris Doctorate, even though I already have a masters in Public Policy?

Would this increase my chances of getting top government positions? Or are they one in the same?

  1. I had pretty much completed my MPP when I realized that it would be a good idea to get my law degree.  I now have both.  The law degree has most definitely opened up several doors for me and I use the knowledge and skills I gained from both in my job.

  2. The JD (Juris Doctorate) is a law degree, where as your MA is deals with Public Policies. The law degree will have more merit. Good luck!
