We might go ice skating outside but it's raining not very hard but not really soft , so will it be closed or will it be harder to skate?

  1. An outdoor rink is not best to skate on when it is raining outside, it would be harder to skate, but most likely an outdoor rink would be closed when it is raining.

  2. If the place is still open, in the best of cases the ice will be just slippery. In a more realistic scenario if it's cold enough and the water freezes, the ice will NOT be flat. It will feel like there's balls of grit and stones everywhere.

I've skated many times in indoor rinks where it's raining a lot outside and some of the water reeks into the rink and these huge balls of ice form and it's really, really dangerous to skate near them because they are next to invisible nd you can easily trip and have a bad fall from them.

Plus you could catch a cold if you're all wet outside in the freezing cold don't you think?

  3. if its raining then it probably will be closed,  skating in the rain sucks because there is water on the ice because it wont freeze right away (but who knows businesses like staying open so i would call ahead if you still have desires to go)
