Will it smudge?

i bought a sketch book, and i'm using chalk pastels. if i drew on a page in the book, then drew on the next clean piece, and close the book, will it smudge?

i hope this doesnt sound confusing.

yes. try using seperate peices instead :)

Umm, i think it will be ok, you just don't want the two pieces to rub against each other.

Someone told me a while ago that if you put hairspray on your finished pastel work, that it will help it not smudge.

But i'm not sure if its really true.

You could look it up on the internet though.
