Can the floor of my heartland shed10x10 feet):http://images.lowes.com/product/converted/095317/095317181405md.jpg support 110 gallons of water? its structure is several 2x3 boards to act as the support nailed to 1 inch thick plywood boards which act as the actual floor. Will the floor snap and brake?or can this support it?

  1. last i heard waters weight was 8 lbs per gallon x 110 =880,i myself woulnt expect it to hold for years on end,

  2. Should hold with no problem.  The weight is about 900# .  Figure the size of the container in sq ft and calculate the weight per sq ft.

One inch ply board set on an 16" center should be adequate.

  3. It should hold if it's braced well enough. Remember water is 8.5 pounds per gallon.

  4. By calculation, your looking at about 918 lbs worth of water on a wooden floor.  The floor of the shed, I'm betting, is 3/4 plywood nailed atop 2 x 4 joists.  The shed floor should be sufficient enough to support the weight as long as the weight is distributed equally across as many joists as possible.  For example, if the joists are running in a north/south orientation, set your tank in an east/west position and vice-versa.
