Will joggin make me stronger?

I have been going for runs lately because I haven't been doing anything except playing computer really (Works been slow) and I've had alot of energy.

I am definitely getting fitter, after just a couple of weeks I feel healthier, but would this make me stronger anywhere other than my legs?

I started doing a few push ups before I went for these runs but I stopped when I started running, and last night when I tried some they were alot easier.

Is that because I am getting all of my muscles built up or just because I am losing weight?

  1. you are definitely gaining muscle! congrats!

  2. Definitely! It is good for your heart and blood veins! Blood can get to muscles easier now! You should be proud of yourself! Your arms pump back and forth as you run too, that also tones those muscles too, even though they aren't working as hard as your legs. Good job!

  3. Both. Running itself doesn't make you stronger, but if you're doing push ups then you are toning. This won't really make you strong though. If that's what you want, you need protein and weights.

  4. no not really, if you want to just get plain stronger quickly steroids will be best, but if you want to stay healthy go to the gym on a regular basis, and spend 30 min running, and 1 hour lifting weights, dont forget to work on beiceps one day a treiceps the other so you wolnt pull anything

  5. for sure. very good cardiovascular.

  6. Yup u are gaining lotz of muscle- when u run u work out all ur legs muscles and ur abdominal muscles too soon u shoud start to see a difference in ur muscle tone in ur legs and other parts as well...but try weights if u are looking for arm, chest, back, ect... muscles!

  7. yes

  8. YEA!

  9. yes it will make you stronger but more on the lines of building stamina and endurance

  10. your heart rate will be amazing. i used to run cross country in high school and when my doctor would check my heart he always told me a had a strong, health, heart. it can help against heart attacks and strokes.

  11. By jogging you are getting your legs muscles strong, so keep it up!

  12. By jogging you will increase your aerobic fitness, i.e. muscles work more efficiently, blood moves to muscles quicker, your Cardiovascular endurance will be increased and you will slowly be able to run further for longer. As for other muscles jogging will slightly improve the core stability muscles i.e. abs, lower back, upper back, glutes, and upper torso. to build more muscle in the upper body such as the biceps, triceps, deltoids (shoulders) you will need to perform more specific exercises regarding those exact muscle groups. Hope this helps!

  13. Yes, but you should wear a jog bra or your girls will turn into flapjacks.

  14. Jogging will make you stronger, especially in your legs and core, and losing weight will make push ups easier.

Jogging, however, is not the most efficient way to gain muscle tone. Weight lifting is difficult to execute correctly, so my recommendation for muscle building is aerobic classes. The overall cardio energy in intense work out classes will keep you in shape, and the weight lifting and calisthenics will make you a lot stronger. Also, classes such as yoga, and pilates, or even some dance classes, will build the attractive core that most men want. Sorry, but jogging just won't effectively give you a beautiful pack.

It will keep you in shape and healthy, and is great exercise. For building muscles, consider a class, especially those that use weights, or include a lot of calisthenics. Don't forget to stretch before and after all workouts, including jogging!

  15. You are making your heart healthy for one thing.  You build muscle and lose fat by exercise.

  16. I think when you jog, you use about every muscle in your body, so yes, I'm sure you're getting stronger.

  17. The Only Thing Jogging Helps Is Probably Losing Weight.

It Might Also Make Your Legs Stronger.

    Thats About It.

The Reason You Can Do Pushups Is Because Of The Weight Loss.

It Becomes Alot Easier To Do Then.
