  1. Yes and they do something else...they help your body develop balance and corordination which can reallly help with fighting skills


  2. Yes, Kettelbells will build your strength, explosive power and stamina, all within a short time frame; and you don't have to buy real heavy ones to do it. I only have a 10 and a 20 pound KB, and use them along with dumbells and bodyweight exercises. The great thing is you build power without building excessive bulk. The drawback is that they are very expensive...I've been eyeing a 35 pounder at my local sporting goods store, but it costs nearly 100 dollars.

  3. I know the Chicago fire department swears by them for training. Heavy and small, sounds like any handling would build power.

  4. yes, but not as effectively as old fashioned bench pressing and curling. go heavier with less reps.  remember sets of three build power, not sets of ten.

  5. Personally I think powerlifting with squats, deadlifts, cleans and bench is more effective.
