  1. yes it will be okay however the bigger pond the better just don't forget to have a filter since they produce lots of waste daily and do a lot of partial water changes and don't forget to use a settled water for couple of days we don't want koi be poisoned by chlorine.

  2. You did not say how many or if you have a natural running pond.I have two one is about 200gal it has a filter,i keep my smaller(4to5in)ones about 4 in there for one year, then they go over to the natral spring fed (1000) pond.In the winter i keep a pond heater in my smaller pond to keep it from freezing solid it can freeze over but not solid it has to be over 3 feet deep.In the fall you have to start feeding Wheat Gem pellets cause they slow way down in movement, and goldfish have no stomach so regular food is to much for them through the winter.

  3. i think they need 1000 gallons

  4. Well, each koi needs 200 gallons of water each, I would say you could maybe fit 2 into adulthood, but that would be pushing it.

  5. For a couple of days it may be ok.

But then you'll have to upgrade to a 1,000+ gallon pond, since Koi grow HUGE (~3 feet) and produce MASSIVE amounts of waste/ammonia/nitrite. So you'll need an excellent filter as well.

    E-mail me for any questions!

  6. How many and how big?  If more than a couple you'll need to get rid of some.  They can often be sold to folks wanting to stock their ponds.
