Even when the lights are off? Hubby says they will still fly in if the lights are off, because they can smell/sense body scents and heat.

  1. Definately - mosquitoes use your carbon dioxide that you breath out during sleep as a guiding beacon for a free meal thank you very much!  So I wouldn't recommend leaving the doors or windows open in the hot weather, invest in a fan or an air-conditioning unit.

  2. Yes, they will. They can track the carbon dioxide you exhale to home in on you. And by leaving the doors open at night, you might also let in burglars, rapists, and others you don't really want to have visit.

  3. They are attract to you body, yes they will come in.  You could get mosquito netting.  Or you could get screen doors for the balcony.

  4. Yes, they'll come in.  They can smell the very CO2 you exhale, let alone your animal-type smells like sweat.  They are not really attracted to light like many other insects are anyways.  They flock to our screen windows, but not our shut glass ones.

  5. Yes, they will still come in. Mosquitos aren't attracted to light the way moths are, they are attracted to the CO2 produced when you exhale. Close the doors at night.
