Will lime juice work on a cold sore?

okay so i read that other answer for cold sores and it said to put lemon juice on it and it will dissappear in a few hours. i put lime juice on it... but even so... will it work?? i need it to be gona by sunday and its friday today!! please? any suggestions?

  1. by-pass the lime juice. Go get some Oil of Oregano and apply to the site.


  2. Try it, but it may sting and probably won't make it disappear.

I haven't heard this but I do know if you take L-lysine it blocks the L- arginine that the virus feeds on and speeds healing; it depends on how far you are into the outbreak how effective it will be; if you take it at the first symptom it can prevent an outbreak; take it in a therapeutic dose with vitamin C for best results; it is also avaiable in a topical form.

  4. Cold sores are related to the herpesvirus. A homeopathic remedy available over-the-counter called Rhus toxicodendren often nips a cold sore in the bud. (It's FDA approved for public use.)

    Lysine is a naturally occurring essential amino acid, related to metabolic acidosis (a side effect of other treatments, or stress),  which is why it can help as a nutritional supplement. Still, homeopathy is faster and doesn't require lysine.
