  1. yes . most linux installation comes with open office.

IMPRESS is  a presentation program similar to Microsoft PowerPoint. It can export presentations to Adobe Flash (SWF) files allowing them to be played on any computer with the Flash player installed. It also includes the ability to create PDF files, and the ability to read Microsoft PowerPoint's .ppt format. Impress suffers from a lack of ready-made presentation designs. However, templates are readily available on the Internet

Here is a demo of what openoffice Impress can do for you.

  2. It does!!!!

Open Office.Org Presentation has supported Micro$oft's (evil) proprietory formats for years, even the new Office 2007 ones.

Get it from your package manager (Synaptic or others) or go to http://www.openoffice.org/

Also Powerpoint has been working for years using wine: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.ph...

  3. Open Office includes a program called Impress. It is a viable, free Powerpoint type program.

    Get it here:

It comes with many versions of Linux. If your version doesn't have it install it via the repositories.
