methane reclamation is already in used... even some major farms are using methane to cng supply as a income source..... using cattle manure as the methane source....

gasoline as we know it is already being produced without oil...

bio-diesel and ethanol are products that are not made from oil in the ground....

many alternatives are available... cost effectiveness is a factor....when no oil exists alternatives are considered regardless of costs....

There will likely be a time when methane, converted into LNG will be more economical.
