Will magic mushrooms grow if. . . . .

if i were to purchase some grade A cow manure and let it soak in moist wetish farm field like conditions would there be a possibility of magic mushrooms growing?? or do government and state institutions mix anti mushroom chemicals in it to avoid such wonderful results , as it has been rumored to me?

  1. No the government doesn't  mess with cows! I was helping my son with homework years ago, topic was mushrooms. There was a guy selling the spores from South America, he claimed it was legal to sell and import them but illegal to grow them. It may have changed.  


  2. beleive it or not, thats illegal... anyway, dung doesnt grow into mushrooms. mushroom spores grow into mushrooms. you need to 'plant' mushrooms if you want to grow mushrooms.

  3. Psilocybin mushrooms naturally grow from cow manure IF the cows are only grain-fed.  Cows diets are much more closely regulated by the government for these reasons.

    If you were to purchase some cow manure (probably not a good idea) then it would probably not produce your "magic mushrooms."

  4. Due to the large number of fungal species, unless you are an expert in identification it would be unwise to try and many varieties are poisonous. Plus it is illegal to cultivate them or harvest.
