Will making this club impress colleges?

im entering my sophmore year and i really want to leave my mark on my high school. im thinking of making a club thats helps out animals, especially shelter animals. itll get people aware of how many animals die each year in shelters because people breed and buy from breeders. i can see it having animal food drive, vollunteering at shelters(even though i already vollunteer and do foster work for one) and maybe even have an annual special adoption event at the high school.

1. do you think its a good idea? should i go for it?

2. do you think itll impress colleges?(even though im doing it for my love of animals)

If you truly want to do this and aren't just gonna do it to impress colleges, go for it. If you're doing it to impress colleges and are just lying to us and yourself, don't bother. You should only spend your time doing things you want to do.
