  1. You're misunderstanding the issue with females, which is that when they go into heat, they bleed to death if they're not bred, and most people aren't equipped to deal with a litter of baby ferrets, so they can't breed their females.  But non-breeding males still should be neutered because that will prevent any chance of testicular cancer, and plus you just don't want to have to deal with their hormones.  You don't want ferrets spayed or neutered too young, though, because that puts them at higher risk for adrenal disease.

  2. They get really musky and aggressive if they are unspayed and cant breed.  The females die if unspayed and cant breed.  Its fine if they are unaltered but they need to breed.  If you are buying from a pet store, its already gonna be spayed or nuetered.

  3. Goodness no, and thankfully so. If that was the case how would ferrets in the wild ever conceive? =)

I had a male ferret who was never neutered because we used him to breed and he lived to be 14.

  4. no but the males will get a bit aggresive im not sure about female ferrets but i would think that they would go into a heat i recomend talking to your vet

  5. NO ths can't be true male and female ferrets live in the wild without getting spayed.
