the human race is a unique one on our planet...(there could be others like us out there) we have evolved to our current forms but i believe that as our environment is changing we have adapted to every climate... we do not needf to evolve any further technology is our way of compensating for this... we could do with out it but we are still developing it ,this is because of our need to feel different .... it is a lot like us having withdrawal symptoms from evolving written inour genetic code...we have not evolved in a while so we want to let the technology evolve for us.... we may begin to evolve again if the environment in which we live changes drastically but not if everything remains constant..

Actually no, I don't think so, because evolution takes place based on natural selection and environmental pressures. We, as humans, can change our environment and withstand harsh changes. Most other species evolved when the environment became too much for them and something better was needed. We have so much technology that I really don't think we are going to evolve!

We've kicked nature out of the picture when it comes to evolution and pretty much taken it into our own hands. Our intelligence changed our environment to suit our needs, sexual selection is not about survival anymore, medicine has saved lives that mother nature would have gladly taken and we're starting to manipulate genes to suit our needs.. If we're manipulating genes is that not evolution?

We never really stopped evolving.

For example, wisdom teeth. Some people have them, some people have them removed, and others don't have them at all. Humans used to need them because of all the hard, grainy foods we used to eat. They were better for chewing uncooked, non-processed foods. In comparison, a lot of our foods now are softer because we can process and cook them, so we don't need those extra teeth that they needed earlier in human history. Now more and more people are being born without wisdom teeth. It's kind of like the sagittal crest, just one example of evolution still at work.
