No.  Man's nature will bring about the early extinction of hominids.  

Of course, I suppose that our technology will be the route our nature takes when it kills us all.  So yeah.

Most likely, we fight amongst ourselves and ignore big issues such as global warming and pollution. If a world war 3 was ever to break out every country would be firing nuclear weopons and it be the end of us. Plus we reproduce more then we should, and we use way more resources then we should. To  stop doing either would be very difficult since we're use to overdoing it.
