it probably wont bother me, i didnt really follow football then i was a bit young or not even born.

if the drugs dont work they just make u worse,

Well he will most certainly die as a cause of something - just as we all will eventually. Whether or not it will be liver failure or renal failure, or cardiac problems  whether it will be a drug induced problem no one can say - hopefully not, hopefully he will stop drugs and drink now, continue to live a long reasonably healthy life and eventually have a healthy  death.
