Question:

Will me wedding ring eventually fit my finger?

I have a tungsten wedding ring and it is a bit loose on my finger. What I mean by loose it seems a bit too big and with some light twisting it comes off. I have a size 8 and would like to go a quarter size smaller but tungsten rings don't come in quarter size and I feel the 7.5 would be too small. Will my ring eventually start to fit my finger over time and can I do anything to fatten up my finger so it will?

  1. well i got engaged yesterday and when he put the ring on my finger it came right off.but today it fits perfectly..weird

  2. You should be able to get a little insert from a jewellery store which you can put inside the ring.

(grr... I have a husband like you too... about the weight. He eats like a horse and doesn't gain an ounce... lean and mean!)

  3. Get a 7.5 and have it sized to fit your finger.

  4. If your wife is a good cook, fattening up shouldn't be a problem =]

If it's in danger of falling off, check with your jeweler about a sizer. Tungsten can't be resized, but they may be able to help the fit.

  5. You can buy a little piece of plastic that goes over the ring and sits between your palm and the ring. It doesn't show. You could use that temporarily and then take it off if your finger was to grow. I've seen them in packages in the jewelry section at Wal-Mart

  6. Perhaps your going to have to give up the tungsten and get something in white gold so that they can size it for you. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. There isn't anything you can do about it, unless you bloat. :o)

My fiance has a tungsten ring and the metal is so strong they can't size it even a little. They had to order a whole new ring for him.
