  1. Although I've seen and admire her work as an artist it's not likely she'll ever be considered the 'greatest' artist of this century for several reasons:

She paints fairly good representational paintings, usually portraits, in both her realism style and in her flat series. The flat series style would never be considered 'great' art by our so-called critics because, like with Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, it looks too magazine, too commercial, too poster-like.

As to her realistic portraits, while her style is highly accomplished and she has the skills of a great painter, she seems not to venture too far away from what I consider 'safe' art, art that would appeal to the general public, beautiful to look at but not so thought-provoking to hold great interest. It has a sweet, new-age feel to it but it never ventures into deep, profound social  commentary, an area that critics consider a must have to be taken more seriously as an artist.

She will never be called the 'greatest' artist of our lifetime. But, perhaps like Norman Rockwell, she could well become the most popular artist during her life. And there's nothing wrong with being popular and well loved.
