  1. No.  It is the CPU speed and RAM capacity that makes your PC faster. Hard drive is just a capacity.

  2. nope more memory on ur harddrive wont make ur PC run faster...upgrade ur RAM memory, not ur harddrive if u wanna make it go faster...RAM memory will speed up the starting time when u tun on ur computer, ad it will allow u to run miltiple applications at once like, listening to music, browsing the internet, playing a game..and u wont notice it slowing down... :)

  3. Your question is about 2 different components.  Memory is not the same as your hard drive.  Your hard drive is the disk that hold every bit of information about your computer.  Your memory is a smaller area but much faster than the hard drive.  You might have a hard drive that is either fragmented or is full, or you might have too many programs running in the background.  Try looking in your system tray for programs that you don't need.  Turning those programs off will free up memory and make your system run faster.  You can also turn off certain windows programs that run on start up.  Whatever you decide, be careful.  You don't want to mess up your system anymore than it already is.

  4. Yes it will. This is the one killer trick that will make almost any computer run faster. With an older PC, you will rarely have enough RAM to run today's memory-hogging operating systems and applications, and adding a high-capacity stick or two of quality RAM will give you a quick speed boost. Adding RAM is fairly simple, even for a novice, and you should be able to do the job in 5 or 10 minutes. You can run a free test at http://www.crucial.com and find out what kind of RAM (memory) your computer needs.

  5. RAM and your hard drive are separate things. A larger capacity hard drive will not speed up your computer unless the hard drive also has higher RPMs -- which means you can read and write data from and to the drive faster.

Your WoW character is stored on their servers, so reinstalling the client on a new hard drive will not erase your progress in the game.

  6. Short answer is no.

The hard drive is for data and program storage. The memory that will increase your speed will be your RAM memory on the mother board. Giving the processor more room to work with will decrease the number of times it has to access the storage of your hard drive, speeding up it's throughput.
