I'm going to be in the market for a laptop because I'll need to bring it to school. I have a fairly recent desktop already with a 22" monitor running @ 1680x1050. Will most new laptops be able to support this if I want to use it along with the laptop's screen? Do I need something with a dedicated graphics card or are most of the integrated graphics going to be able to swing it?

Thanks!

  1. yes ...Just get a an Extra VGA Cable (length depending upon the distance of the Additional monitor) and Eureka !!!!

  2. Do you have a CRT (like a telly?) then prob. not

LCD (flat screen) prob. yes :-)

  3. Most integrated graphics cards these days are fully capable of that resolution.

    It will work just fine.
