  1. I'm Not Completely Sure..

    But I Could Say...

even if it did, the canon EF-S 18-55mm lens is for digital Canon cameras like the xt,xti,xsi,30d, and so forth. It might physically fit, but you won't be able to control the lens manually completely. You won't be able to adjust the aperture, because it's not a manual lens, the 18-55mm lens was meant to be used on digital camera, that could internally change the shutter speed and aperture, whereby on 35mm slr cameras, this is done manually, and they don't have any internal control. So even if it did physically fit on the camera, you wouldn't like the lack of control you'd get. You'd be much better off with a fully manual canon lens:

that's a canon EF 28-90mm lens, which is a manual SLR lens.

  2. No.  The 18-55mm lens that comes with the XT kit is an EF-S mount lens, which only works with the XT, XTi, XSi, 20D, 30D, and 40D.

You would need an EF mount lens for your 35mm film camera, I imagine, although I don't know much about film cameras.

  3. Easton is right ... if you can get it to work, you will get vignetting.
