Will my AT&T Pocket PC work in St. Maarten?

I will be going next month. It's an HTC 8525 running Windows Mobile 6. Does anybody know if my phone w/ AT&T will work in Sint Maarten?

Probably not that good, Ive been there the service is horrible.

Haven't personally done it but AT&T claims they have roaming there. It is expensive. I believe that you have to activate international roaming before you go.

Many folks opt to rent cell phones while on-island. This works if your main objective is voice. Rate is a lot cheaper. If you need to surf the web, another alternative might be one of the internet cafes. There's one in Phillipsburg that is perhaps $3/hr.
