Will my Alltel Palm Treo 700p be able to make calls or access the internet in Europe?

I was told that it would, but that I would either have to download some additional software or have something activated before we leave.

Unfortunately the only phone you can use internationally is the Blackberry 8830.  Then you will have to purchase a sim card in order for it to work internationally.

The Treo 700p will not be able to work at all internationally.  It's only capable if 800MHz CDMA spectrum that's only available in the US and surrounding areas.
