I have an Intel Core2 duo 1.83GHz,667Mhz FSB, 2MBL2 Cache. Is this enough to run games which state min of 2.4GHz or equiv? How do I convert the info for my processor to understand if it has the capacity to run these games?

  2. wow yes.. make note of the vcard as well.

    WoW has VERY low requirements.

go here to test your system against it.

  3. Yes! If you want you can add more memory and have a good video card with accelerator.

  4. Yes, it's more than fast enough.  As the previous poster stated, WoW has low requirements, it runs fine on computers 4-5years old.

The game requirements of 2.4Ghz refer to old single-core Pentium, and your Core 2 Duo at 1.83Ghz is much faster than that.  With the introduction of Core 2 Duo processors, CPUs aren't rated just by clockspeed anymore.  Newer model have more cache and more efficient design, so there's no conversion formula.  You'd have to look at published benchmarsk to see how a particular processor stacks up,

  5. Yes. That's more processor speed than needed. Your 1.83 GHZ will translate to around 3.4 GHZ.

The only difficulties you may face are due to having a weak video card. WoW has very low requirements though so don't worry too much about it.
